UsbBug is Bus powered, this means it uses the current available in the USB bus (5.5V, 500mA). This means there is no need for extra power adapters. However, there are some limitations of usage:
UsbBug is for low power or self powered devices only. If you attach a current load greater than 500mA OS may have difficulties to configure devices. In this case you need self powered hub. You can still use UsbBug for your low power devices.

If you connect another hub to UsbBug it must be self powered.
UsbBug adds an extra 3 USB ports to your computer. Ideal for placing under the monitor, on top of the PC or at the sidepanel of PC or monitor using the MOUNTER product available later this year.

Painless Plug & Play installation and automatic device driver installation ensures swift setup.

UsbBug draws electrical power from the USB bus. This means there is no need for extra power adapters. Rugged design with pleasing aesthetics and sound ergonomics.
